Quiet Please...

When Todd Kauppila was fired I was outraged,
when he died, I was mortified.
I'm going to sit here quietly for a while and contemplate what happened.

Bastards!

I am truly sorry.

no more trolling for me for a while.

Todd's story is quite sobering.

goodbye (again) Todd

I won't forget. Maybe those who don't understand our anger and resentment of these people will read your story and understand more.

Damn waste...

Thanks for doing this Calvin, it is a sad moment to remember.

Everyone, please consider setting up a regular transfer into his memorial fund.

The Todd Kauppila Memorial Fund has been set up at Los Alamos National Bank, account number 32268720

Good Lord! Do you hear yourselves? This man was fired for cause! Check the records. And Horne should have been fired too! They were both Cowboys.

I believe it because Director Nanos said so.

God help us!

Good Lord -

I think someone's poaching your style here... otherwise I would be hugely offended.

I think (hope) you are being ironical.

Todd -

I'm still thinking of you man!

No disrespect to Pinky but Todd's story has already been buried under the LLNL contract and the Jessica Quintana Story...

It is a very poor imitation of me, trying to be humorous. And misinterpreting what I have said, but that's OK. Just another moron blogging away.

I really don't like the handle "Good Lord," BTW, but I guess I'm stuck with it...

BTW (formerly Good Lord) -

So, do find any of the blog authors or commentors here up to your standards? Are they (we) all morons, all the time?

And as usual, you are not "on topic". Do you have an opinion about how Todd (and John) were treated?

Something about your general style suggests (to me) that you are likely to "doubt" their story in favor of Admiral Pete's version.

You have a right to that opinion (if in fact you hold it) but don't expect it to be popular.

If you *do* have a little sympathy for Todd, his family and John Horne and you *do* (maybe) suspect that foul play was in play, then speak up man!

Don't just sit there whining about all the whiners (and juveniles and nutty conspiracists, and morons), weigh in substantively.

What are your opinions about what is (and has been) going on at LANL?

Darko, I won't engage with you under the guise of this particular blog post. If you want to try to bait me, you are welcome to do so when a different blog post appears.

Yes, hush, both of you!

sorry calvin (todd, et al...

I just verified the LANB account number posted here and published in the LA monitor is the "Memorial Fund for Todd Kauppila" and set up a regular transfer of $20.

A fairly token amount perhaps, but over the next year(s) it will become substantially more than I donated when it was first set up.

I would like to challenge other Bloggers here to do the same... think of it as a subscription to "a better world".

Thanks Calvin for the "long moment of silence" for Todd, his friends and family.

I hope you will return to your normal programming soon. I see that Strangey finally started up again.

I started a $20/month contribution for Todd's fund myself just this week.

Happy Blogging!

Like the good Doctor, I'm having a bit of trouble getting my "voice" back after the Kauppila anniversary.

I am appalled at the apathy (and heckling) on the blogs.

I can't seem to find a topic worth pursuing... but I'm sure it will come to me.
